About Us

The Liberated People Foundation (LPF) is a newly registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has emerged from over a decade of cultural activism built through the Liberated People (LP) lifestyle brand.

Founded by actor, activist, and social entrepreneur Gbenga Akinnagbe, LPF represents the institutional maturation of a movement- transforming the brand’s grassroots energy into a structured, fundable, and globally influential vehicle for social change.

“We believe people are more powerful than institutions. We believe liberation is a practice. We believe the arts are the heartbeat of every movement that has ever mattered.”

— Gbenga Akinnagbe, Founder
